Maple and Walnut Cutting Board

This solid wood cutting board features a
solid maple cutting surface attached to
walnut legs with a straight sliding dovetail.
The walnut legs are pinned at the center to
the maple, this allows the cutting board to
expand and contract without ever coming
apart or warping. This cutting board also
makes for a great serving tray with the
walnut legs being shaped in a way to allow
for handles that make it easy to carry and
push a plate up against.

About my cutting boards:
Each cutting board is constructed of individually sized wood pieces. These individual pieces are joined
together, shaped and then sanded smooth. All of my cutting boards are finished with multiple layers of
walnut oil, I then apply a layer of 100% natural bees wax to aid in waterproofing the cutting board. This is a
natural and completely food safe finish.

Cutting board care:
To prevent warping I suggest that you avoid direct submersion under water with the cutting board. However
this does not mean that you cannot clean them; I suggest a normal cleaning with soapy water making sure
to dry off the excess water. Anytime that the cutting board begins to feel dry to the touch apply a layer of any
type of edible vegetable oil into the wood, I recommend walnut oil. With consistent use the wood will over
time develop a natural patina which naturally enhances the woods beauty.
